The story of Orendain Brands begins in the kitchen of our great-grandmother, Luisa Orendain, in Sonora, Mexico. In that space, rich with aromas and tradition, handmade tortillas fresh off the hot griddle became the heart of every family meal.
It was there that many generations learned not only how to make a good tortilla, but also the deeper meaning of sharing, nourishing, and doing things with care.
With her natural talent for cooking and a vision ahead of her time, opened her first tortilla shop more than five decades ago.
Her entrepreneurial spirit, commitment to quality, and love for tradition made her a respected businesswoman in her community and an inspiration to our entire family.
